We have just spent 2 weeks at La Renaudrie. We were specifically looking for a property large enough for 4 adults, 4 teenagers and – most importantly – a disabled child. The owners could not have been more helpful in providing photos and information regarding the suitability of the property.

We arrived to find the house beautifully clean and a very generous welcome pack which far exceeded our expectations. The children very quickly familiarised themselves with the extensive grounds, games room, pool and the wifi!

This house has clearly been equipped as a home and we couldn’t fault a thing. The kitchen is generously equipped with plenty of cutlery and crockery which is a welcome change from other holiday rentals.

The grounds are well maintained and the caretaker pops in to look after the pool and gardens. The owners clearly maintain high standards which is reflected in the quality of this property.

We made use of an English lady who came in to help around the house, this was a great addition to the holiday and one evening she cooked us a lovely meal.

It was extremely hot during our stay and we made good use of the very large pool; there is a great big fig tree in the pool area which provided much needed shade. There is also an outdoor shower room which meant the kids could change and shower without trailing through the house.

The games room, table tennis barn, badminton net etc. provided us with plenty of family entertainment and we worked our way through numerous board games. There was a huge bookcase with books for all ages.

In summary La Renaudrie is a total rural getaway; we did visit the local towns but into the second week decided it was best to just chill out at the house.

The local vineyard is well worth a visit, a tractor ride through the field then a tour (in English) followed by tasting- very enjoyable.

Absolutely 10/10 from start to finish … the holiday home surpassed all of our expectations. We felt so lucky to have our holiday this year, given the pandemic. We couldn’t have asked for more – thank you … Gus and Judy.”

The Douglas Family

A wonderful holiday in a wonderful location. The chickens even laid us a couple of eggs. Three generations loved the house, garden and pool.

The Ashton Family

“The villa had everything we needed, clean and comfortable with all the amenities exactly as described on the website. The welcome pack was very appreciated, especially the wine after a long journey! We had children aged between 2 – 7 and we’ve never been somewhere so equipped to entertain them. It was great to have the pool in a separate secure area where we spent most days and trampoline and games room an added bonus. It was also great that we could then move across to the main garden in early evening (with an amazing view) and the adults could sit and relax with a glass of wine while the children played on the slide, swing, Wendy house etc and also lots of games of hide and seek with us happy that the garden was so secure. The location was perfect – we wanted seclusion with amenities nearby, we wanted an immaculately clean home, we wanted decent resources to keep us all happy, we wanted amazing weather. La Lievre supplied it all”

(Maison La Lievre is the ‘formal’ name of our house)

Absolutely superb accommodation! Beautiful heated swimming pool, excellent games room with pool table, especially appreciated by our family! So much available for everyone in the family. A huge choice of books and dvds for people who prefer to be less active, and also bicycles for the more adventurous. Our family age-range was from 10 years old to a 71 year old, and everyone had something to keep themselves entertained and amused for the entire holiday. I thoroughly recommend Maison La Lievre to anyone wanting to book a stay in this wonderfully rural area of France.

The Gould Family

A lovely relaxing week in your beautiful, peaceful (donkey & geese allowing…) very well equipped ‘second home’.

The Sheach Family

We had an absolutely fabulous 2 week holiday, lots to do for our 3 children (4, 3, & 1) & for the adults. The house was stunning as are the views. We very much hope to be back! Thank you.

The Thompson Family

The house, its location, its contents and facilities were better than expected and indeed most wonderful. It had the feel of living in someone’s home, not that of a place set up just for letting out; there were little rain jackets on the pegs for those tots whose parents had forgotten to bring them along, binoculars, everything for babies, a well stocked cupboard to get us going, enough beach equipment for many more children than the house could hold, travel type highchairs which proved invaluable… I could go on for hours. We can’t thank the owners enough for all the thought that went into setting up the house.

The Barnet Family

Grandparents, Parents, Children all enjoyed this lovely house and garden. The pool, toys, climbing frame and Wendy house – much loved, plus trampoline of course!

The Tweedy Family

Three generations of the family all enjoyed their stay. There is literally something for everyone. Everything was provided and our needs met. It was the most fully equipped place we have stayed. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a holiday home in this part of France.

The Beatty Family

A fantastic holiday! Everything you could ever wish for to keep a 2-yr old boy entertained – train sets were particularly appreciated. We will never forget the sun, BBQ, pool and garden fun a-plenty. Thank you.

The Harper Family

Fantastic property with lots of facilities and ‘little extras’ eg baby alarm, stair gates, bed guards, champagne on arrival (!) which made holidaying with small children a relaxing affair. We had email contact with the owner before our trip. He was lovely and very considerate (asking how we would like beds/bedding arranged and suggesting places to visit). It felt like a very personal touch.
